Mittul Vahanvati

Mittul’s research and practice sits at the intersection of environmentally sustainable built environment disaster recovery and community resilience. She specialises in community-led approaches to design and construction for social change. She is the director of Giant Grass.

Crystal Legacy

Crystal is a Senior Lecturer in Urban Planning at the University of Melbourne, Australia where she is also the Deputy Director of the Informal Urbanism Research Hub (InfUr-). Crystal has published widely on the topics of transport governance, urban politics and citizen participation.

Kamil Muhammad

Kamil is a practicing architect and director of pppooolll, a Jakarta-based architecture and design-research studio.

Ammon Beyerle

Ammon is a passionate and driven architect, researcher, writer and teacher who lives in Ballarat. Ammon has recently completed a PhD regarding participatory architectural practice and agonism in urban ecologies that values tension and difference in the design process. He is the director of Here Studio.

Nicole Mechkaroff

Nicole is a practicing architect in educational, community building and urban design. She works with stakeholders, community and user-groups and facilitates participatory experiences for the development of equitable, user-friendly and environmentally responsible built environments. She has worked with not for profit organisations and was President of Architects for Peace during 2018 and 2019, building programs for public talks and community events on a number of spatial justice issues.

Mary Ann Jackson

Mary Ann is a highly experienced built environment accessibility specialist passionate about making the world a more accessible place. She is the Director of Visionary Design Development, a transdisciplinary consultancy working across accessibility, research, and architecture.

Saumya Kaushik

Saumya is a practicing architect with experience in accessibility projects across housing, community building and research. She is a Project Services Manager at Visionary Design Development, a transdisciplinary consultancy working across accessibility, research, and architecture.

Ilianna Ginnis

 Ilianna is a graduate spatial designer with interest in disability. She is a PhD candidate investigating how design processes can be inclusive for persons with profound intellectual disability and non-verbal communication. She has had experience with many disability agencies as a support worker.. 

Davis Clarke

Davis Clarke is a tutor at Monash University, across communications and foundation design in the Architecture school.  Davis is interested in the role participatory design can play, as a mode of communicative action and for the agency of users and occupants of architecture.

Penglong Kuoch

 Penglong graduated in the Master of Architecture at Deakin University. He is currently volunteering at Visionary Design Development studio, a transdisciplinary consultancy working across accessibility, research, and architecture.

Ran Pan

Ran Pan is a spatial analyst providing spatial data support, mapping and modelling services to urban planners and designers. She is enthusiastic about using transdisciplinary knowledge and digital technologies to enhance community engagement and facilitate participatory urban planning and design.
